Why I Chose To Restore My Country House

Thinking back to when we purchased our excellent Victorian property, we wanted to use suffolk latches to make certain the property was keeping in attitude with its heritage. The property is over 160 years old, so we were keen to research this generation and buy as plenty products as possible around the home so it would look just faultless. When I looked around the cottage I saw there were lots of ways to make it appear like a Victorian property. I wandered about the folks who built the home, the materials they used and the life they led.

There was also a garage attached, as well as a stable and a barn, so we bought butterfly hinges to do up the exterior and interior doors. We chose fresh black ironmongery products with a traditional beeswax finish. It turned out that we were not the only ones that took this repair job seriously as a lot of our new neighbors dropped by to thank us for keeping the heritage of the village and property. I will always remain enthusiastic about saving the heritage and character of my pretty new country cottage.
